| E&M...Thoughts? Ugh, I really, really should have studied for this test....
I feel like I would have been able to do the first 2 FR's no problem had I just reviewed a certain law and looked at those things with wires and batteries for more than a few seconds right after mechanics....
I answered every MC, but I wasn't really confident in any of my answers...so at this point I'm praying for a 3, maybe a 4...def. not the 5 I need though |

| MC was a complete joke. FRQ was okay but tedious. I made quite a few stupid mistakes in the FRQ (probably -5 or -6 out of all 45 pts). I am somewhat sure that I got a 5. |

| MC was easy, FRQ was difficult for me since I didn't learn all the concepts behind the problems. I think I got a 4. |

| yatta, if you only got -5 or -6, then I guarantee you will get a 5...you'd only need a raw score of 9 or 10 on MC haha
we didn't get to rotation 1st semester in mechanics, and didn't get to induction or magnetic fields this semester, so I'm really unsure about both of my tests today... |

| how many points can one afford to lose to get a 5?? what if I score between 23-24 on the multiple choice, and get about 65-70% of the points on the FRQ, what kind of score can i expect? |

| let's say you got a 23:
23 x (9/7) = 29.5714
and 65%:
45 x (.65) = 29.25
29.5714+29.25=56.8214 or ~57
Given the curve from 1998:
5: 49-90
4: 35-48
3: 26-34
2: 15-25
1: 0-14
you're fiiiine |

| lol, this was a decade ago....i doubt such low standards still apply....I think they would atleast expect 60-70% for a 5...or maybe not...idk lol, i self studied for this test entirely, my school offers just Phys B |

| ^^ actually lol you'd be surprise , the curves dont change that much from year to year and I remember seeing the 2003 curve or something (forgot what year exactly) and it was about same thing, around 53% for a five. (E&M has one of the best curve probably cause its considered kinda hard) |

| I thought everything was pretty easy except the third free response. |

| for the third free response, in the last 2 questions, was the flux = Bs^2cos(wt)
and the induced emf Bs^2w*sin(wt) ?? |

| My brain is fried right now so I don't remember it exactly quagmire, but I remember getting your answer for flux. I don't remember them asking for the emf though, only flux... o.O
We'll discuss this when they post it in 48 hours |
