APUSH: Grade: A/AP Score: 4
Best teacher I've ever had. I barely studied and I got a 4. It was also the hardest class I've ever taken and he's known as being the toughest teacher in the school. I can't believe I came out with an A.

Lang & Comp: Grade: B+/AP Score:4
This teacher graded really tough. I can't really say I owe my AP score to her because there's not really a set curriculum or anything. The MC is what kept me from getting a 5. I should have studied.

Latin Lit: Grade A-/AP Score:5
Prior to this teacher coming to my school, the AP Latin class (we hold the two different AP's in alternate years) average for the AP exam was a 2.5 or something crazy like that. This was his first year teaching an AP class and he couldn't have prepared us better. We got through all of the material by the last week in March and then started reviewing. I 110% owe him for my 5.

APUSH: 5, and he deserves a lot of credit. He's been teaching history since Jefferson was President.

AP Stat: 5, and she deserves some credit, as does my dad.

AP Chem: 5, and she deserves very little credit, but considering my original teacher was fired in March, she deserves mostly credit for peace of mind.

AP Eng Lang: 4, and she deserves all of the credit.

AP Chemistry - 5
Teacher gets 90% of credit. Awesome and kind teacher, and very helpful and funny.

AP World History - 4
Teacher gets .0000001% credit. worst teacher ever. She gets ALL her notes from coursenotes.org, and gets her tests from a special book for teachers only. For essays, she doesn't even know how to do them, so she gives everyone 70s on them. She blames us for everything, while she's the one who has no idea what she's doing... She just sits at her desk and makes us copy notes. I'm really happy about a 4.

Hahahaha, thanks. It's all because of the teacher. She's amazing. She's basically a real-life Ms. Frizzle, but a little more sarcastic. lol It's so not fair though. She's actually teaching AP Bio next year...It's the first time offered at my school. I told her that I was mad at her for waiting until after I graduated to teach it, and she laughed.

I read the beginning of this last night, but most of it tonight. No response yesterday because before a teacher chimed in, I wanted to see what students said. I 100% agree with MathProf. In Lang, I can't teach natural writers much more than refining thier arguments and conciseness. I can also show tricks of the test, but watching some of those borderline kids score the 4 when I thought they were a 3/4 is why I love this job.

The flip side is that it hurts to see the 2/3 student make a 2, or a 3/4 make a 3.

English Language- A, 5- A TON of credit; he really helped me improve my writing a lot!
Biology- A, 4- Decent teacher, a pretty good amount of credit
World History-A, 4- A wonderful teacher...I really feel bad because it feels like a let him down.
US Government-A, 5- 1% credit! She didn't teach anything!!! Class consisted of her telling us what chapter to read, giving us a test every two weeks, and her going on random tangents on her own views for the rest of class! Good thing I'm a political junkie!

AP US - 5
Teacher was great and renown for having a very high AP average (I think it is higher than a 4) even with big classes. It was a very difficult course - only 2-3 students received A's or A-'s on each test.

AP Physics C - 5
Once again, excellent teacher. Extremely tough though, I received C's and B's on just about all of my tests first semester. However, we finished the curriculum extremely early and just had fun doing practice tests and studying quantum theory for the rest of the year.

AP Calc BC - 5
Once again (I may be saying this a few times), AMAZING teacher. He taught too much! I am a very independent math student and prefer to just sit back and learn on my own, but his teaching style was excellent for the less motivated student. Furthermore, he was so willing to help you out for any learning problem.

AP Chemistry - 3
This was completely my fault. I had an amazing teacher, but I just did not do the work and freaked out about a few parts of the exam. I feel like a disappointment for this exam.

AP European History - 5
Great teacher and actor! My Euro teacher came up with lots of funny performances to help us remember facts, figures, and trends.

AP Calculus AB - 4
Nice guy, but not the best teacher. I was one of three people to pass the exam that year. Unwilling students was part of the problem, but our teacher should have been more strict about homework and tests. He was willing to help out though if a student asked but was clearly an anti-AP teacher.

Chemistry: Snagged a 5 and had about a 98 or 99 in the class. I give the man HUGE amounts of credit- he emphasized understanding over memorization, which really made it all so much easier.

ap us history (canceled) - i give my teacher 75% of the credit. in the months leading up to the ap exam, i realized how little we covered. i know what i want to major in when i go to college.... so i prioritized and kind of blew it off. i know if i studied by myself though i would have gotten at least a 4 but my 4 would have been no thanks to him. i don't regret my decision though.

ap english language (4) - 90% to my teacher. can't believe i really scored a 4 though, i was expecting a 2 maybe 3. (especially since those are the highest scores my teacher has gotten)

ap statistics (4) - eh. i loved my teacher to death but in reality only like 25% goes to her. in the months leading up to the exam i started reviewing and discovered entire topics that we hadn't covered in class. it's not her fault, in my school statistics is kind of like a BS class seniors take and don't care about.... so it was hard for her to teach.

ap chemistry (5) - 790 on subject test.... 99.9999% to my teacher. I did have to teach myself electrochemistry, coordination complexes, and beers law but other than that she covered everything in depth.... crazy in depth. more in depth than the ap exam calls for. her quizzes were ridiculous. they had 3 questions that were like real life scenarios and basically if you got one wrong you failed the quiz... it was tough. everyone scored in the 70s/80s on the midterm (except me, i got a 91)... next year she'll be helping me with organic chem.

Spanish (5/780)- Teacher deserves all credit. He was a motivational slavedriver; that's what I needed.

English Lit (5/800)- None. Self-study, used books all read out of school.

US History (5/770)- Ehh. She was okay but I'd say Princeton Review the night before was my real savior.

Calculus BC (3/5) - Teacher deserves most credit for AB score.

Statistics (5) - teacher deserves little credit. I studied the barron's book and did all the tests to get that.

Chemistry (5) - teacher sucked. harangued me, told me I wouldn't do well because I didn't "try". So to hell with him. no credit.

English Language (5) - never took a class, so I get the credit.

English Lit (4) - never took a class, so I get the credit.

Computer Science (3) - never took a class, so I get the credit.

Biology - 4: my teacher gave us a lot of resources but didn't really teach, so I'll give her half of the credit, haha

Computer Science - 5: totally. my teacher was pretty awesome. pushed us really hard, to the point where the week before the AP we were programming nonstop and staying late nights to finish projects and assignments.

US Government - 2: my teacher did an amazing job; we thought we were all prepared for the exam. If the exam had been pure US Government I'm sure my entire class would have swept with 5's, but they threw in those two damn Econ/APUSH-esque FRQs and--

English Literature - 5: my teacher is amazing, but I had already been getting high A's in her class since day one. She was a really good teacher but I can't attribute my success to her since I was kind of already (truthfully) well on the way.

French Literature - 4: yeah, that sounds about right. I didn't do much in the class besides read and analyze like a machine, so I guess her constant pushing and discussion paid off. I was the only student, after all.

No results for Physics C and Economics yet, but I know I owe my Economics teacher everything if I get a high score.
