Getting a 3

If you get a 3 on an AP Exam, how do colleges view that score?

I'd like to know also! Especially if you're a freshman

I think it's essentially neutral. You probably wouldn't get credit for it, but I don't think it would hurt your application either. A 3 is "qualified", essentially, you took the course and learned the material adequately.

Most state university's accept it like University of Florida, and he's a freshman, so what will they think about it? (I'm not worrying, or freaking, I am just wondering)...

I agree with thirdfloor. a 3 won't hurt you like a 1 or 2 can, but it won't help like a 4 or 5 unless it's a school that takes credit for a 3. For a freshman, it might look good because it shows that you took AP courses in your first year of high school.....but it will not look as good as a freshman who took the same course and got a higher grade.

My advice? Be happy with how you did and continue to work hard. You still have plenty of time before the crazy world of college admissions, so enjoy it! =]

Btw: With a school who accepts it, how much will that help? And thanks for your answer BTW.

All the schools I'm applying to don't even ask for AP scores. The common app has a section for them though. I don't think it can really hurt you. AP scores are used for placement and credit.
