calc AB required for BC?

at my school, AB (B or higher) is a prerequisite for BC, or you can take plain calc 1 and get an A.

lately i've heard some schools don't do this?
do most schools just let you take BC with precalc?

i did hear BC was a lot of repetition from AB, but that's the course sequence our school offers us...

do you think colleges will look down upon the fact that i didn't just take BC to begin with?
will they have anyway of knowing what my school requires?

At my school we move straight from precalc to Calculus BC. The weaker math students can choose to take Calc AB instead.

If AB before BC is the sequence, then go for it. It is likely that the BC teacher already knows that you guys have an AB background and would skim over the AB topics.

No, colleges won't look down on it.
