| The Official AP Chemistry Discussion Thread
Well, folks, now that it's Monday we have exactly a week till the examination rolls up.
So, let's talk about chemistry. Anything of particular concern that ought be covered?
For you veterans--are there some sorts of sure-shot questions that are asked every year that you know of, or, do you recall some sections of chemistry being over abused on the exam (so we ought to focus on them too)?

Ah. I'm stupid. It's next Tuesday. I thought today was Tuesday because I've just been studying all day that it seemed like a weekday =P
SATs now APs.
Just let it keep rolling on us.
What do you plan on doing Alluric?

I was thinking really practice the free response questions released for students so that you know exactly what kind of questions come on the real thing? And I think the Barron's practice tests are harder than the actual exam, but I've seen that the actual exam tends to take longer (?). So free responses from Collegeboard and MCQs from a prep book like Barron's should be good now.
Question, though: any use reviewing the actual material now or is it better just to fix mistakes as they come along?

I was so focused on my SAT, I sorta neglected my AP courses. I have Statistics tomorrow, APUSH Friday, and Chem/Psych next Tuesday. Hooray! I'm seriously nervous.
Beyond my fears, I think I'll have the toughest time with equilibrium problems. My teacher only skimmed through chapters pertaining to that topic, and I struggled at it in honors. :/ Sucks.

| It's probably more profitable to focus on the Barron's problems, since harder is better.
I hear that unlike the SAT, you shouldn't take "practice AP tests," since it's too taxing and could just completely wreck your confidence. At least with Barrons you think "oh, well, this isn't the REAL thing."
I agree with your other advice.
You should start off by checking each question and as you get more comfortable with it, review it later.

I think for multiple choice, you need what, 50/75?

Fellow AP Chemistry test taker/nerd here. My teacher said 49/75 give you and 85% chance of getting a 5.

It's your RAW score that needs to be 50/75, right? Or can you get 50/75 and the rest wrong and still get a 5?
