CC Self Study classroom?

Well, this is probably the only place I can think of where I can read about people who self-study AP exams. Often, it's a boring process and people tend to start very late since there isn't the classroom setting or somebody to reinforce that you have to work.

What if people on CC start their own classroom? For example, say I want to self study Psych. I'll start a Psych classroom thread, and we can meet once a week via AIM. We can agree to do 1 chapter each week from the same prep book, and then we can discuss that chapter for 1/2 an hour to an hour, including questions and such. As the exam draws near, we can work together for free responses and other things like that.

Would you guys be interested in doing something like that?

That's a pretty good idea. But I don't think the self studiers will be able to go on AIM at a set date every week. Wouldn't it be better to do that on this site itself? That way the discussions will be saved and can be referred to throughout the year.

very easy to do. Simply make the thread, find others who are interested and then just add each other on facebook.com or myspace.com. A small group of 5-10 people is enough really.

you're the first person to say .com after myspace and facebook that I've ever met. Anyways, I'm learning this on my own, with a tutor, so I might tag along for the last minute cram if you ever want to study with me in May or Late April

Lots of us meet up in AIM chat threads.
Sometimes we end up talking about USABO. (AP Bio and beyond).

I won't mention our other topics.....

But yea. It's a pretty good idea.
