My d. purchased a Mac and loves it. However, if you will doing AutoCad, you will need PC Windows. If you go Mac, make sure it can dual boot. I'd suggest you verify with the Archi. dept. at whatever school you decide. They typically have specific preferences.

all the places i've applied to prefer mac over pc windows, because the programs are mac oriented but if you are more comfortable with windows, then go with that.

mac is pretty user friendlly. i had windows all my life and i got a macbook for xmas, and it's a breeze. so smooth and easy to use.

DEPENDS ON THE SCHOOL!

if you're going to use CAD - windows
if you're going to use RHINO - windows

regardless, make sure its fast and saves well. and keep away from doing stupid things like downloading what you're not supposed to and such haha.
