Syracuse or Pratt?

I've been accepted into the MArch I program at Syracuse and Pratt and I'm having a hard time deciding which school to go to. After graduation I'm planning to work in NYC and use my skills in interior design and architecture to work for a firm that would specialize in hospitality design. And eventually I'd like to start my own firm. My question to the CC community: based on the reputation and quality of the programs at Syracuse and Pratt, which school should I go with?

pratt and syracuse are two very different schools. if you look at pratt's work, it's very centered on research, digital fabrication, and a lot of contemporary work whereas syracuse is a little more grounded in formalist ways of thinking. you'll get two pretty different educations so decide which area you are interested in

good luck!

Just to add on to this thread - I heard that Pratt architects are well known in nyc area, what about those from syracuse? Are they well respected, considering that currently SU is ranked #3 for arch?

thanks
