Transferring Programs

Right now, I am looking at going to Univ. of Oregon, but since the tuition is SO high, I was thinking of potentially transferring back into a California school like Cal Poly for my third year or whatever. Or else I will have to look into a Community College and a 4+2 program....

Is this possible? And if so, how difficult is this? Do I need a really good portfolio?

Jack,
You seem to like Cal Poly. Have you talked to the people at Cuesta and Cal Poly about 2 yr CC + 3yr CP = CP BArch? I spoke with a veteran arch professor at CP, who also teaches at Cuesta who said the program is a good pathway and that the Cuesta kids that go that route hit CP ready to run.

Well actually after looking into UO I sort of like it more than Cal Poly but my parents are paying for it, and they want me to transfer if I can.

I have looked into Cuesta, but my parents and I don't really want to get an apartment or anything in SLO seeing as I am still 17 until November! I'm a little young to be fending for myself at this point...haha
