ASU Visit

Any suggestions about what to see at ASU other than the tour? I am taking my son next week.

I assume you are taking a tour at the Tempe campus. When we took the tour, they did not go into the main library (Hayden) or the different parts of the Memorial Union. You should definitely look at these. If your son knows what major he is interested in, you might also try to figure out which building houses that major. Again, the tour did not go through any of the class room buildings.

Off campus, you should go to Mill Avenue, which is a few blocks northwest of campus. It is the heart of Tempe with a number of restaurants and shops.

There are several light rail stops close to campus if you want to ride the light rail into downtown Phoenix.

what to see near asu

There is a fabulous glass sculpture (Dale Chiluly) exhibit at the phoenix botanical gardens!
Be sure to visit Mill Ave next to campus. Just returned from a trip with my son. He loved the campus and surrounding area.
