Arizona State Admissons fall2010

Has anybody applied to ASU as a freshman for fall 2010? I applied and sent in my transcript about 2 weeks ago. The application status online says "in review". Anyone know how long it will take until I hear a decision?

You probably won't get notification for a while.

Freshman Admission Requirements, Preferential Deadlines and Steps | University Student Initiatives

Fall 2010: February 1, 2010 (Note that ASU has a priority date for guarantee of review of merit scholarships of December 1, 2009, and encourages all high school seniors to submit an application by Dec. 1.)

So I'm guessing you'll find out April or so, like everyone else.

Not true. We took my daughter out to see ASU two weeks ago and we were told by the admissions rep that she would hear in 4 - 6 weeks. She then spoke to another rep separately and was told the same thing. There were only two kids in our info session that had already applied.

Ah, thanks for the corrections then Peg.

I'm a tad feverish at the moment, it's a miracle I'm not speaking complete gibberish...haha.

I applied last year, and got a decision back in about 3 weeks after applying in September. Then I applied for Barrett in November, and was accepted within two weeks. The day after I mailed my letters of recommendation (before they received them).

How did you hear you were accepted last year? Did you get a letter or find out online?

How did you hear? My dd had her transcript sent in at the end of June and her application was in on the 9th of August. We are out of state so wondering if she will have to wait for a letter. Congratulations on your acceptance. We loved the school when we toured it last month.

Thank you! I found out through the "My ASU" account online that I created using my "ASURITE ID", which is sent to you after you apply for admission. If you haven't set one up yet, I'd definitely recommend it, as it's quite useful. It tells you what you still need to send in (such as test scores, etc). It will also have the status of your application. Mine was "In Review" for a little over a month before it finally said I was accepted.

Also, I'm an In-State student, so if your if your app is still "in review" that could be the reason. Good luck with everything!

Her ASU account has been set up for the last month. It still says under review. I guess she will know soon enough.
