Northern Arizona/Arizona State

If a student is admitted to Northern Arizona, are the chances pretty good that they will be admitted to ASU?

Usually if you get accepted by one, you'll be likely to be accepted into others.

^^ Not necessarily true. NAU is much less selective than ASU, particularly for out-of-state applicants.

2.9 gpa, 22 act and 1150 sat

Is ASU really that selective? There's a 94% admit rate.

The 6% are mostly OOS, and 6% is a lot of applicants when your freshman class is as big as ASU's. You are below some of the cut offs, but IDK how strict they are.

Bring your GPA up to a 3.0 or bring that Act up to a 24 and you'll get in.

Just checked on USNWR

NAU - 73.8% acceptance F08
ASU - 90.3% acceptance F08
UofA -80.5% acceptance F08

Not sure what that means for OOS but I thought it was interesting info.
