accept - Congratulations to your daughter. We live in the northwest, so it takes about 3 days for the mail from USC to get here. She received mail about the School of Theatre's Faculty on Monday. Hopefully she'll get the "fat envelop with the gold stripe" on Thursday.
My D's 1st choice is BA of Theatre. She wants to double major in English and/or Communications.

Evansville

Brian,

My son visited Evansville last year and was accepted. Their drama department was very good and had decent facilities for a smaller schol. My son decided the program wasn't intense enough for him, but I think it's a great school for somebody needing a little more stroking than some of the bigger BFA programs supply. If a student is planning on graduate school, this school has had great success in many of the top tier programs. The head of the drama department is a gem and the students adore him. The school is beautiful, although the City of Evansville is not. The school offers strong academic programs as well.

Wowsers. Y'all let this part get mighty long! I went ahead and started a Part 10 with links to all the old parts. Maybe the powers that be could close this one out and tack the new one to the top of the forum in its place?

Here's Theater/Drama Colleges Part 10 for your posting pleasure.

Theater/Drama Colleges Part 10

Anyway, since WallyWorld called me a "Wiz Girl" on the MT forum, I've gotta ... Ease on down ... Ease on down the road.

Puirchase or Ithaca

My S just got accepted to Suny Purchase and Ithaca College for a BFA in technical design/ lighting design. We have visited both schools and he likes both. I was hoping that some of my learned colleagues here in this forum could tell me.... all things being equal which is the " better" school for a freshman theater tech??

Thanks

Thank you fishbowlfreshman for creating a new Part 10 for our ongoing thread on Theater/Drama Colleges. I'm closing this thread and featuring Part 10 at the top of the Arts Majors Forum.

Here again is the link to Part 10:
