| You haven't gotten any responses because no one here at CC can give you any sort of realistic assessment of his chances -- and certainly not with the limited info you have provided.
Even with "normal" schools, posters here are just guessing about chances when they compare an individual's test scores, GPA, ECs, etc. to a specific school's student profile. When it comes to art schools -- especially the most selective ones like RISD -- the portfolio is given at least as much as, if not more, weight in the admissions decision than the academic record. And judging artistic talent is very, very subjective. Most of us here are not qualified to do so -- much less second-guess what RISD is looking for. |
