Best CSU campus for film/screenwriting?

My son is a CA resident interested in a film major with screenwriting emphasis. He will be applying to the usual suspects (USC, Chapman, LMU), but I noticce that a few of the CSU campuses offer a film major as well. Does anyone know how the CSU compare to the others?

My boyfriend went through almost exactly the same search. He ended up applying to San Fransisco State as a saftey. Supposedly their film department is supposed to be very good.

ps: If you consider out of state I've heard great things about NYU. UCLA isn't bad either but you don't start until your junior year or something and its a bit more conceptual.
