How do I Handle an Incomplete on My Midyear Report?

It also depends though on how much work has to be made up. My friend also has an incomplete (thanks for this post!) and got extended time on a project but the teacher would have to also have it graded. (He's really panicking). Could it really really affect the college decision, as in would one grade be the difference between acceptance and rejection (or I guess just waitlist)?

My friend applied to ivies and top schools by the way. He was sick (not sure with what but he was out for about a week before the end of the quarter). His other grades are still good and he's a pretty strong applicant.
