SAT Subject Tests or AP Exams for Home-Schooled Student?

Take the SAT subject tests in May or June of the year you take the class. Repeat the SAT subject test after you take the AP version of the course.

Take the AP's too. Possible College credit (or placement). Also another test to demonstrate your academic abilities.

Some schools, like Harvard, require the SAT subject tests.

If you will apply to competitive schools, it is not an either/or. You do both. And, you start now.

Also, as a home schooled student, even more schools will require the SAT subject tests to demonstrate a certain level of proficiency you gained during the home schooling.
