My daughter has made her decision and will be signing a National Letter of Intent with Boston University! We are so happy for her and are breathing a collective sigh of relief, it has been long road. My daughter is the also very first athlete from her club to be recruited, which is very exciting for her club. Interestingly enough, BU was the very first school that contacted her when she first started rowing. Quite a coincidence, huh, 989 emails, 3500 miles later and she ends up right where she started!

I want to say a great big THANK YOU to everyone on this forum who has been so generous with their time, information and experience. I have made some wonderful cyber-friends here and a couple of real life ones too! I could not have navigated our way through the muddy waters of recruiting if it were not for the support and guidance I got here. Thank you all again! And best of luck to the class of 2015!

    Congrats fishydaughter !!

Funny how fate steps in. I won't say my daughter's school was her first interest - that was BU - haha - but hers was the first to call her in July, and strangely, the school kept coming up in college board searches unrelated to athletics just based on her scores and her intended major before we even started unofficial visits.

    See you in Beantown!

    Congrats to fishydaughter!

The recruiting experience is such a roller oaster, isn't it? Rankings and interests change almost month to month (and OV to OV!) - DH and I realized fairly early on that we just had to hang on tight till the ride was over.

Congrats to you and your daughter!!! My DS and I were on an unofficial at BU in October. Part of the tour was the competitive pool area - what a facility!! World class school - dorms, dining areas, whole campus. Multi-media presentation of BU, its history, heritage and accomplishments of its students and faculty was amazing and inspiring,

I'm sure she'll be very happy. Go Terriers!!!
