| Yeah! D got Freshman Academic Scholarship...
Happy news for my Auburn-crazy daughter! She just received her letter in the mail yesterday that she has been awarded a Freshman Academic Scholarship. Since we are out-of-state, this scholarship essentially waives the out-of-state portion of her tuition and helps a lot toward financing her pre-vet years at Auburn. Anybody else get good news? Congrats to you, too! |

| Hi, Gobias....Thanks for the congrats. Yes, D received invitation to Honors College but no Freshman Elite Scholarship application. Ah, well, she is very happy and we'll be coming down to visit again soon. The final decision of college choice will be a tough one. Good luck to you as well. | |

| peck, what are your stats? i'm just wondering b/c i didn't get offered ANYTHING from auburn, and i was expecting them to waive at least the out-of-state tutition... do you think it's cuz i'm out of state?
My stats:
GPA: 4.074
Rank: 11/355
ACT: 31
SAT: 2100
Plenty of EC's, like work, President of FBLA, Sec/Tres. of NHS, Mock Trial, etc... plus plenty of awards
I'm also taking all college classes this year, and for the most part have taken the "most rigourous courses" available at my school...

Did you apply before December 1st? To qualify, you have to have applied before that date. | |

| i was accepted over the summer and everything, and i was accepted into the honors college, and i was notified of the scholarship and everything, but they told me i did not receive one, and i wanted to see the stats of someone who did | |

| you had to have your application accepted way back in october/november to be eligible for the freshman academic. that may have been why you didn't get it. according to mine, you just had to have min. stats to get it, although that may have been like a 33 ACT? i don't remember. | |
