| Lol, well the greeks would say that, wouldn't they? That "if you want a real social life you should rush". Well, I say to that, I have a perfectly normal social life and know many many awesome non-greek people who also have perfectly normal social lives. I have a few friends that are in sororities, so I am not trying to dis on greeks, but it seems like MOST (not all, and certainly not the girls I know) sorority members seem to think a "real social life" is going to the bars or frat parties all the time and stumbling out drunk as hell and falling over.
I'm sort of out of the whole "party phase" that people seem to go through when they get to college. I'm a junior and I've done alot of partying in my day (been to ONE frat party in my entire time at college, and it was kinda boring). I still enjoy a good party, but I'm not seeking them out every weekend anymore. I will say that if you know where to look, there are plenty of parties and other social things to do that you don't have to pay for. And of course, you get to make friends without having to pay for them either. |
