Matlab

A friend of ours is attending Auburn and mentioned taking a matlab class. Can anyone tell me what class this is, like acronym and number? He is a mechanical engineering major.

What other computer classes do engineering majors take?

Can you learn Java and C++, or is only one of the two offered, if either?

Thanks for any info!

I think the class you are referring to is COMP1200. MATLAB is a proprietary mathematical programming language and is the language used in that course. There is another course (not sure of the number) that teaches SolidEdge which is CAD software. I think that is the maximum requirement for the non-computer degrees.
