Hello,
Wanted anyones input on my chances at Babson. I am a highschool student in sophmore year and attend a highly competitive public high school. My GPA is 3.6 Weighted (Yes, I know it is very low) which I hope to improve in junior year.
I have a 2200 on my SAT (I took it early). For E.C.'s I have done an internship with a strong letter of recommendation. I have also placed 3rd in an international business competition, hold officer positions for clubs on campus, and was a finalist in an national essay competition.

Why do you say so? Do you go to babson? I've heard alot of great things about the school and will visit in the summer. I've also heard its gotten a lot more competitive, so thats why im a bit nervous. Im probably going to early action because i really want to go there.

Yeah, you're pretty much a shoe-in. Your SAT scores alone will get you in, plus you have another year or so to boost your GPA. I was accepted into Babson with a much lower SAT score, though my GPA was higher. Don't worry too much. If anything, I would consider Babson a match if not a safety school.

yes I go to Babson. From my observation, besides SAT scores and GPA, they pay lots of attention to your EC’s and essay. Try to show that you are really interested in business. It will be really helpful if you discuss it in your essays.

I totally agree with DOLO about the essays. I believe that my essay which passionately described my love of business was what got me in. That's really important.
