Unifieds??

Hi Baldwin-Wallace folks! Any chance you all will do Unifieds in Chicago this year?

The information we received at oncampus auditions this spring makes me highly doubt that BW will ever take part in Unifieds. They stated very clearly that they wanted to audition only those folks that were interested enough to make their way to the campus, AND that they wanted to have the time to do more extensive auditioning and interviews on campus. That being said, my daughter did not receive any more time than she did at Unified Auditions, so there is a bit of contradiction here. However, the campus and program, especially the intensive training and personal connections are to be highly recommended. But don't let the small size and town of the college make you think they are less picky. It is a highly selective program with a multitude of applicants!

My son is a Freshman this year at BW in MT, and he had a long but valuable audition experience on campus, and it seemed like he had much more exposure than those done for 4 other schools at Unifiteds. At BW, he was there from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and in addition to voice and monologue auditions, he had a piano audition and general musicianship placement audition. The dance audition was much longer than any at unifiieds, and it just felt better being in their space instead of a hotel. It's a wonderful program, and we're very excited!
