Just an update...there are actually 16 in this year's freshman MT class. 10 girls, 6 guys. I am in the freshman class and BWMT2009 is in the sophomore class, so if you have any questions, please feel free to IM/email/PM!

Tonight the whole department is seeing "A Funny...Forum" at Great Lakes Theatre Festival. Vicky Bussert, the head of our department, directed it. Many current BW students and alum are in it. Can't wait!

To falloffstage or BWMT09 or anyone else who knows--

Can you tell us something about the singing portion of the audition? Does everyone do all three songs? Do you get to choose where to start? How does that part of the audition work? Thanks.

I'm also a freshman in the program, and I love it by the way.

But the singing portion is exactly how it's stated, three songs, 16 bars each, and for my audition, Vicky picked two for me to do, and I think she does that for everyone. It's very quick and then you do your monologue.

Good luck to everyone

broadwaycorey --

Thanks so much for answering my question. I'm glad you love it. It sounds like a wonderful program, and it really has a good reputation. Good luck and enjoy!

No, it isn't. All auditions must be completed on campus.

So I just got my letter from the conservatory saying you have a scheduled visit at 11:00am on Nov. 11 blah blah blah. However, it never says anything about an audition time. Does this mean that my audition hasn't been scheduled or something?

Everyone revcieves an audition time when they arrive at the audition. Although that time seems a little late to be getting to the Con. I remember getting here for my audition at around 8 or 830 and the place was already packed. I would call the Con just to make sure.

For anyone who has any last minute questions for the audition on Saturday ask them now becuase I will be out of town thursday and friday and won't be able to answer before your audition. I will be there Saturday, but I won't be working the audition. The masterclass that afternoon will be given by Robert Longbottom, the broadway director of Side Show (among other things, his credits http://www.ibdb.com/person.asp?ID=15466). Also that night is a performance of Side Show. Hope to see you there!
