Summer visit worthwhile?

So..Daughter was too busy with spring plays and musicals to do much visiting this spring... Have a few free days before CMU-Precollege starts on the 28th, and was thinking of visiting B-W, as it's one of the schools she's interested in, but we haven't visited yet. Is it worthwhile to visit next week and do the tour/info session thing, or to wait until say September and visit when students are there, and classes in session? It's only a 2+ hour drive from Pittsburgh but trying to be judicious with my remaining vacation days, as will need them for visits in the fall too..

any thoughts or opinions are welcome..
thanks.

If your D is planning to audition for Musical Theatre keep in mind that it is very competitve and that your daughter will more than likely be auditioning at many schools. We found it best to visit the schools while doing the audition. It saved us time and money. Then after our son found out what schools he was accepted at we visited the ones that most interested him.
We spent his Spring break narrowing down the search.
We did visit a few schools over the summer that were closer to our home.

KatiesDad - Hi! I'll be a sophomore MT @ BW next year - I'm doing two shows in Cleveland this summer so I'm working on campus in the admission office during the days (I give tours). If you schedule it through admission, Mon-Fri, I could give it.. However--honestly, it might be better to wait until students are on campus -- maybe come see a show, or just wait until your audition - you'll get the best feel for the school then! either way, best of luck to your D

Well, I had to schedule my vacation day for Monday next week already, so we're gonna be coming up Monday 6/23, it's only about a 2 hour drive from Pittsburgh anyway. I used the online form to shedule the visit for a info session and a tour(11:15). We missed getting to come up on Junior day a while back(april I think) since my D had an all day saturday rehearsal for Les Miz and couldn't miss it..

Kyle, it would be great if we could get you for our tour guide, I'm sure my d would love to talk to you about the program etc.. are the music/theater facilities on the general tour? If not can we arrange to see them?
