questions ?????????????

I think Ball State is somewhat of a medium size university? how close is it to the town/city of Muncie. D wants a school that is not in the middle of a town or city. She is in the top of her class as a junior and taking AP's and honor classes. She in involved in theatre (behind the scenes), marching band and key club. has an interest in biology for pre-optometry but she is also interested in art history.

Selectivity is not an issue for her. She loves the Miami of Ohio. How similar or divers is Miami from Ball State or Oxford from Muncie? We intend to visit later in teh spring or early summer.

Girls4mom,
Muncie is a medium sized blue collar city. The university is on one side of the city, but still in the city. However, the two are two separate entities and don't mix!!! I lived there for a year - first job offer out of college and took classes toward a masters at Ball State.

It is difficult to compete with the beauty of the Miami campus-that's for sure!!!

Have you considered Indiana University in Bloomington, IN? My optometrist is a graduate of IU and it is the quintessential college town. Good luck!

thank you for the information. D has not looked at Indiana U. Sh eis looking at Oberlin, Miami, Ohio Wesleyan and possibly Ball State. She is now leaning towards biology/genetic research. She is not interested in big city life at college, but rather a "green landscape" and not a concrete campus.
