Can you tell me your stats and what all it was like. I'm going to do this next year. Bard seems like the exact school I want, and nothing seems wrong with it. Soon I will visit the campus and give everything a look over. I'm a little worried about my grades i have like a 3.3 uw and poor sat scores (I doubt I'll snd them, 1700). My ecs are pretty good (various music activities, comm. service 150+, founded political club, ect.). I'm a pretty good violinist and a unique interest (very very interested in) of mine is violin making. I love disscussions, debates and all that good stuff! What do you think? Tell me all you know!

Thanks,
Alex

At IDP, interview and seminar are intense. You must be able to seperate yourself. I'm from private school where everybody's grades are low; had 3.5 and 1950 sat had great ecs: govt, sports and newspaper leadership. take sat prep course, write a killer essay and get great recs from teachers

Ah! I'm jealous of your early success. I also feel that there are more and more qualified students applying at Bard, and it's selectivity is increasing and my changes of getting in are decreasing. My stats are a 3.25 GPA with 7 AP classes total for Junior and Senior year. Junior Year I got a 3.6 GPA and Senior year I got a 3.7 first quarter. My extracuriculars are superb and consist of lengthy Theatre rehearsals and clubs every day every week for several weeks at a time. My counselor recc and teacher reccs were superb and showcase my love for the arts and sciences. What do you think of my chances EA; we hear back later this week!

P.S. I also got a 31 Composite on the ACT, which I submitted.

Yay, newcomers! Can't wait to meet the lot of you...

If you have any questions, feel free to drop me an e-mail. (I don't check this forum quite so often now.)
