Financial Aid offers

Does anyone know when Bard typically sends these out? Makes no sense for to go to Accepted Students day if the school won't be financially viable.

To Bella89: congrats on the scholarship! I believe you mentioned on another thread that you were interested in sciences. Were you awarded one of the "Distinguished Scientist" scholarships? I would be interested to hear your assessment of Bard's new commitment to the sciences. Bard impressed me when I visited in April, but I have some concerns about the depth of the physical science departments. Thanks.

I wasn't aware at the time I applied of the DSS scholarship and when I applied for it (the second round) they had already filled positions. When I visited and saw the new sciences building, it was absolutely beautiful. I am worried about their science department because the sciences aren't a particular "strong point" at Bard but they are doing a lot to change that and bring more opportunities/research work/internships to students. I also plan on applying to medical school and I know last year only five students went on to medical school. So just think of the amount of personal attention sciences students probably get from professors.

Thanks bella. Given Bard's comparative lack of strength in the sciences, what about the school did you personally find compelling?
