Waitlisted with incomplete application. Wow.

I didn't even submit my second essay, because I wasn't THAT interested in Bard. My stats aren't that good, and I still managed to get waitlisted without it. I was sure it was going to be a flatout rejection. Weird. I'm obviously not taking a place on it, so good luck to all other interested waitlistees!

I got waitlisted with an incomplete app too. It's very strange, seeing as they're very selective, with their 29% acceptance rate and all. If I had know I could get away with half an app I'd have been so much lazier. Other places did funny things too. Whitman called me toward the end of March (20th?) prompting me to send in my app. But I suppose it must be pretty common.

What's even stranger, Vassar called my S's school in late Feb, asking if he was going to send in the rest of his application. I guess they wanted more boys. He didn't bite.
