By "doing", do you mean "applied" or "got in"?

I applied RD to Bard too.

Yes, I applied for both Fin Aid and the DSS scholarship. Did you too? What was your DSS essay about?

My DSS essay was about Observational Astronomy Research conducted by me, in my high school.

Hey, also applied RD. That's so cool you're from Nepal. Why did you choose Bard? I like what I know about the school but granted that's not very much.

I was fascinated by the courses offered by Bard. The DSS scholarship was my biggest draw. I like the location esp it being close to NY. It has a repution and I had some more inside information abt the skool as cousin studied there.

For me, the biggest pull was the double degree program with the new Bard College Conservatory of Music, which I applied for.

For my DSS essay, I wrote about how I derived the general formula for the volume of an n-dimensional hypersphere. I probably won't get the scholarship, since I haven't really done any real scientific research (except a few personal math and computing projects that aren't really worth mentioning, such as the one I wrote about which probably sounds quite silly), but I guess it's worth a try.

Incidentally, I've sort of gotten an unofficial acceptance to the double degree at Bard, though I don't yet know about how much financial aid (or scholarship, if any) I will be offered.

Hey, I applied RD as well. The things you guys have written about are impressive! I didn't DSS (I'm not nearly smart enough) but I wish you all the best of luck!

Good luck everybody! I applied RD to the Conservatory double-degree program. It concerns me that they're now accepting applications "throughout spring 2005," whatever that means, haven't returned prescreening results, AND lost my prescreening tape, but apart from that I'm very excited about the school.

Hmmm... it probably means they didn't get enough applications... which is of course good news for all of us who applied!

No, not yet. I think we've got some more time before we start hearing anything.
