Drinking Culture at Bard

My brother is interested in Bard and I was wondering what the drinking and partying culture is like. How intense is the party scene? Is there substance-free housing? If so, is it legit?

"Legit" is the difference between sub-free housing that's full of people who genuinely want to be sub-free and have no intention of using, and sub-free housing that's full of people whose parents made them sign up and have no intention of quitting.
