Question about DSS

In the DSS application form
I have seen"Name of academic reference in science/mathematics"

What does it mean?

Believe this refers to one of the two Academic references submitted with the standard Bard application. To apply for DSS, one of these must be math or science, and the name is cross-referenced on the DSS form.

What program are you interested in?

My first choice is math and second is computer science.
Are these two departments strong?
