Two Questions

1. Chances?
Female
Oregon
4.00 GPA (hopefully speaking valedictorian out of a class of 450)
APs and "rigorous courses"
SATS: 680 R, 640 M, 700 W (2020 overall, owch. )
One hell of a letter of recommendation from the UC Berk. PhD who taught my AP Chemistry class.
Drama club, ballet forever, lots of volunteer work, independent foreign travel, an absolute art-nut, etc, etc.
My big interest is the sciences, though. I'm looking for a doctoral(s) in biochemistry or neuroscience.

Am I wanted at Bard?

2. Specifically, am I wanted as a Distinguished Scientist Scholar? Does anyone know what it takes to get one of those damn awards? Do I have a chance? My essay was decent, I think... unless I focused too much on the philosophy/ethics of n. plasticity and didn't drop enough technical terms.

I think you'll get into Bard. Not too sure about the DSS, only because I'm not really familiar with it.
