Att: Future bard students

so, i don't know if anyone noticed but even taking into account that Bard is a really small school (still bigger than my high school tho) there are very few cc'rs that are definitely going to bard. I thought maybe we would like to introduce ourselves to each other. Here are some starter questions for ****s and giggles:
place of origin:
background info:
why bard?:

people already at bard, please feel free to chime in.
and if u think this is stupid, good for u, u don't have to post

place of origin: Chagrin Falls, Ohio--really small, rural town, yes we have cows, but yes everyone is really well off
background info: band geek/dance team
why bard?: i fell in love with a little college called St. John's which has this thing called a great books program. When I realized that A. st. john's was way too expensive and gave zip financial aid and B. st. john's had only 500 students and nothing in the way of tipical college life my dreams where kinda crushed and i had to look elswhere. Cue Bard! awesome school with the same kinda feel only BIGGER with actual clubs and stuff. add in pretty good financial aid and the fact that its 1 hour away from half my family who live in brooklyn and u have a match made in heaven! I am supper excited for L & T

Oh I know St.John's. They have a truly classical curriculum--no majors, 4year humanities,4 year social sciences,4 year maths, 3year lab sciences, 1 year music. I just love the idea of it. I heard they're pretty generous with FinAid because they admit a small number of students?

place of origin: Westchester, NY

background info: I'm a little bit of everything. Band geek/choral geek, newspaper geek, Model UN geek, one of those crazy activists (gay rights and abortion rights), theatre geek, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember.

why bard?: I chose Bard because it has everything I want in a school; small (but bigger than my HS of 800 students), personal experiences with teachers, a gorgeous campus, liberal, Leon Botstein (who is friends with my father), L&T, senior projects (both of which at first I was like, "WHAT?" and then was like, "those could actually be REALLY awesome." I'm now legitimately excited to write a senior project, though it seems daunting), it's a "hippie/hipster" school, it's artsy, it's close to my home (about 1.5 hours away). I think that's it.

bcash^^ yeah, they might but from my standpoint I was looking for a lot of merit based scholarships. The classic curriculum sounded so cool (yes i am one to love talking, breathing, eating, living books , and they sent me soooo much stuff (i must admit i was initialy attracted by their cool first brochure, brown rough paper, school seal. no pictures, just a booklet with students talking about the program). but they have no sports, pretty much nothing except the program, which wasn't enough for me
