Freshman Summer Reading, L & T

The two books for this year are the same two assigned last year. Kafka and Darwin, the deterministic and the rational. I can hear the discussions now, the analogies to Bush vs. Obama; claustrophobic ideology on one hand, fact-based pragmatism on the other.

And ignorant vs. liberating, dogmatic vs. fluid, the paranoid vs. the rational.

Should be fun.
