| I'm so sorry too, it's horrible the way this process makes applicants feel. But you're right, and either you'll try to transfer again or graduate with a great degree that will make graduate schools your oyster. |

| I got waitlisted at Mt. Holyoke. I don't really don't have a lot of hope for Barnard now. I sent in my deposit to Temple University, but who knows. |

This process is nerve wracking. I am trying to tell myself whatever is whatever...like distance myself from it all... |

| I got in last week (in the mail on Wednesday the 23rd). I applied last year as a first-year, rejected, tried again this year (along with Columbia and Georgetown) and have yet to hear from those two. I sent in my deposit accepting their offer yesterday and I'm pretty psyched.
I'm sorry to see that no one else on here has gotten in yet! The website does say that it's rolling admissions for transfers, so I wouldn't lose hope if you haven't heard yet. They're probably still sorting out documents and processing stuff. They said that they accepted 78 transfers this year.
My stats, in case anyone is wondering:
GWU: gpa - 3.9
HS: weighted gpa - 3.8, UW around 3.5
SAT: 2150 (760 W, 710 M, 680 CR)
SATIIs: 740 Lit, 660 Math, 660 French
Pretty solid extracurriculars, and I think I wrote strong essays to support the app too.
Good luck to those who haven't heard! |

| Congrats on your acceptance! 78 acceptances! Yeesh, those are some narrow odds. lol
Edit: Oh, and Softy, I wouldn't lose hope just because you didn't hear from them in April. Last year there were several girls who did not get acceptances until May.

| Just a note:
Just because you're still waiting doesn't mean you're rejected. I transferred Fall 2006, but I got my acceptance package so late that I had already registered and paid for another semester at my State U. In fact, it was so late in May that I had to call them to ask what was going on! |

| Ladies, don't worry if you haven't gotten your letters yet. It doesn't mean anything. I got my acceptance letter in mid-May last year similarly to collegegirl. Good luck to all! |

| Just got my letter today - rejection. Not particularly surprised and I'll be fine going to Temple I suppose. The letter just said that transfer spots were very limited this semester, so the 78 number sounds about right. If you want my stats they were:
GPA: 3.79 after 3 semesters (although at the end of this semester it moved up to a 3.84 so that kinda stinks for me)
ACT: 27
Pretty solid recommendation and bunches of ECs.
Sort of lackluster so that's probably why I didn't get it. Good luck to the rest of you! Hope you all hear back soon! |

| oh God. at this point i just want to hold the rejection letter in my hand rather than anticipate it all week. i think i'm going to hear back from NYU this weekend, too. it's going to be a double whammy - they only accepted 70/1800 to CAS this year...barnard isn't much better.
guess i'm headed to rochester? at this point i don't even know anymore. i may just stay here. |

| I think it's just a crappy year to transfer altogether. :/ The incoming freshman class is huge, if my high school is anything to judge by. Ah wells.
On the bright side, transferring to Temple will save me a boat load of money and I'll be able to go to grad school. |

| softy,
I'm applying to NYU too! My friend received an e-mail from them two days ago, and he didn't get in He also applied to CAS, and in the e-mail they wrote that there were 5000 applicants this year for 550 spots :/ |
