I will be applying to:
Wellesley (first choice...not applying ED)
Smith(3rd choice)
Mount Holyoke
URichmond
Syracuse
Tufts (2nd choice)
Carnegie Mellon


African American female
Moderately competitive Texas public school
Top 25% Class rank


My best SAT 1 scores are:
670 CR
630 W
610 M

SAT II:

670 Chem
planning on taking literature and scoring similiarly

GPA: 3.21 out of 4
(I know my GPA is low, but I did take some difficult courses.)

E.C.:

Theatre (all four years): Participated in 11 out of 13 shows including UIL
Director (Junior)
House Manager (Junior)
Historian
Ready Writing
Tutored English 1 and Algebra 1 (freshman)
Participated in community theatre show...performed about 20 shows, inclluding one on the steps of city hall for a crowd of hundreds



Community Service:
Volunteered at hospital for two summers and completed 90+ hrs(fresh and soph)
in Surgery Waiting area (assisted families to recovery, doctors visits...etc.) and Cyber Center (assisted patients and families with fax and computer use
Volunteered at library (freshman)

your SAT and SAT II score is a bit low. try getting your SAT up to somewhere between a 2000-2100.

Asian female from NJ

GPA/Class Rank: Not sure of my class rank
Un-weighted—≈3.75
Weighted—≈4.10

SAT I: Retaking it this October and hoped for something close to a 2100
Total—1970
Math—700
Crit. Reading—600
Writing—670
