Also, Is it possible to submit Nov 7 SAT scores for ED? If possible, I'd like to try and retake a subject test..

I was wondering that, too. Nov. 7 SATS would come out at the end of November, which leaves barely more than a week left for the admissions office to decide. I'm doing it anyway, so should Barnard not take me I could at least use it for RD schools.

just out of curiosity - has anyone ever had an interview with a barnard alumni?
...barnard just told me that i have to wait for them to send me an email with an alumni's name.

(we have less than a month to get those under 1,000 characters supplement to new york city - eek!)

to those who are worried about having an interview: don't be. I had my interview on campus a few weeks ago, and it was the most stress free, relaxed conversation ever. I interviewed with a student, and she was very eager to answer any questions that I had. We just started talking and talking about my interests, her interests, what she liked about barnard, what programs i was interested in, etc. Although i was a little worried going into it, i actually found it to be a lot of fun!

If you can, I definitely recommend getting an interview. FOr me it was a relatively easy way to stick myself out there, and have the admissions office get to know me a little better.

hope this helps.

Oh, and Barnard DOES accept November 7 SAT scores. you just have to indicate that you will be taking them on your commonapp.

i'm most likely applying ed toooo

i have an interview there tomorrow which will probably make up my mind about the school once and for all. i visited in the summer and took a tour/info session but i want to see the campus in full swing before i'm 100% sure.

have yet to complete like two of the supplement questions, but deadline for ed apps is nov 15 so i'll probably have the app done this week...

my other colleges i'd be applying to rd are tufts, vassar, northwestern, skidmore, nyu, uchicago...

let's hope ed works out though!!

I submitted my ED app two days ago, and I am SO nervous. It's my top school by a mile.

Also applying to Columbia, UChicago, Princeton, JHU, CMU, U-MN-TC, UNC, and NYU.

i submitted my app on the 31st.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I keep going over the math in my head. Interview was so-so (maybe I shouldn't have made it my first ever), wish I could have tweaked my common app a little, am satisfied with my supplements - UGH.

college1o1 -- nope, all of my writing was way over 1000... word limits are always a struggle for me because i tend to always over-write. i dont think its too big of a deal though... as long as we're not submitting pages and pages of stuff haha.
kiwi_nights -- same here! barnard was my first interview ever and now im wishing i could go back and re-do the whole thing. first question she asked, i went totally blank... felt like such an idiot haha. but at least the worst is over. all we have to do is wait!

Sheva, haha, I would almost say the waiting is worse. ;-)

I'm going to be a big bundle of nerves for the next month + week.

Nothing that my counselor sent by mail has been received; same with ACT scores. This makes me uber nervous!

All pieces of my application received. *big sigh of relief*

Interview questions - meh, nothing unique: strengths, weaknesses, subjects you like/dislike, what interesting/other things the school should know, etc. Don't sweat it.
