Yeah, I'm from Vietnam. I applied for financial aid, but I'm quite anxious whether the package would make Bates affordable to my family.

@lyjoo0119: you know what, I really wonder if our acceptance letter is the same, so can I post it here so we can compare?

Well, I'll have to wait for the financial aid package to make my decision, but as long as it meets my full need, I think I'm gonna go for Bates. I actually have a few questions

1. How's the weather like there?
2. How's outside the campus? I heard Colby really is in the middle of nowhere.
3. As I'm int'l, I'm worried about the atmosphere. Is it friendly, adjustment-wise? I heard some LAC kids are kind of preppy/rich. And what about diversity?

didn't get into bates yet...still looking for the huge envelope with goodies. but if i get in, that means i'll have to decide between bates and vassar.
