Unfortunately I was waitlisted at Bates, one of my top choices. I was originally going to do ED, but then didn't for financial reasons.
I'm pretty crushed and deciding whether or not to even accept a place on the waitlist. Do they accept many kids from the waitlist and if I miraculously am accepted will I get crappy FA? I need a pretty decent amount of FA.
I really thought my common app essay and bates supplemental essay might get me in. They showed a lot of passion, but I guess not.
I would have your GC call bates, ask what you could have improved on. Also, I would email/call bates about FA. I doubt there will be much left, but you never know. Good luck!
Ahh, I'm sorry! I havent even got my decision yet... I hope that doesnt mean Im either rejected or waitlisted. But hmmm I am a top prospect for football there, probably doesnt help much with admissions at bates haah
