Transferring out

I'm going to be going to Baylor for a year or two and then I plan to transfer out to Rice University. I'll be in the Honors Program. Does anyone happen to know how the HP will look to transfer?

Maybe ask over at the Rice forum? I don't know about transfer stuff, especially transferring out of Baylor. And I'm not quite certain what the reputation of the honors program is outside of Baylor, esp. since you're not going all the way through with it.

I did but I got very mixed responses. This is my only choice though, so I'll just have to suck it up and hope things work out for me.

Well, Baylor is a good school, even if you don't end up transferring to Rice. You might end up enjoying your time at Baylor, be it for one year or two or even four. Try not to just "suck it up" but make the most of your time wherever you are.

Best of luck in all your endeavors!

Lol, I know, it just isn't for me. I hope I do, but who knows.

Thanks!

You should have gone to premiere - it was pretty great.

I was kind of in the same position as you. I really like Vanderbilt, and was thinking of transferring from the Honors Program at Baylor to Vanderbilt after a year or two, but after premiere today, I am excited to attend Baylor. (I fly out from Texas tomorrow to go on another college visit... but after today, they are gunna have to really blow me away).

Bookaddict: Do you know if improving the sports teams is part of 'vision 2012'? Because I would really like to go to a D1 school that actually won, lol.

Haha, actually, it is. Football-wise, we have a new coach and they're building a new practice facility. And we actually don't do too poorly in other sports. Our Lady Bears basketball team consistently does well, and our Mens Basketball team did better this year than it has in the past 20 some-odd years, I believe. And I don't think our other sports teams do half bad.

It's just that we suck at football. Well, we'll see what this new coach does...
