What is the economics dept. like? I am looking to broaden the search for my son at LACs with good economics depts beyond Colgate, Hamilton, Macalester, etc. Any thoughts?

Beloit has a very decent economics department from what I can tell, and the program includes some straight business courses. They also have some unique entrepreneurship opportunities. However, I have read that one of their long term economics professors is retiring and they have made or will be making some changes to the department, so you might want to investigate further.

Thanks. I went to the college website and did not realize how small the dept. is. It is also mixed with business. I believe I will look at other schools.
