Does Bennington Prepare you For Life After College?

I've already fallen in love with Bennington however I was reading posts of the Facebook Group for Young Alumni of Bennington (what else does one do on summer vacation?) and it appears that some of them blame Bennington for not preparing them to enter the work force. Many of them are saying that they are forced into Graduate schools because they can't find good paying jobs with the degree they earned from Bennington.

I am a tiny bit concerned however, other people on the group are saying that Bennington has helped them and that it is the person's fault for not being able to make it in the workforce and not Bennington's.

I was already planning to head to a graduate school after attaining a college degree but I was also under the impression that if one uses the FWTs correctly you could easily network your way into a job after graduation.

Does anyone else have any opions an whether a Bennington Education is actually worth anything in the real world?

I will be a Senior at Bennington next week. Many of my friends graduated this past June, and some the June before that. Some of them have had difficulty getting jobs in their fields, but I think that can be attributed to both the current economy and the fact that many of them are artists. Artists graduating from any college often have to take jobs unrelated to their art. I do have some artist friends who are working in related fields, often teaching a form of their art. My friends who concentrated in areas such as science, or technology, have had good luck getting very good jobs. I also know several people who got jobs with companies, law firms, theater groups, schools, or galleries, that they worked with during Field Work Term so, for them, Bennington and it's structure were a real plus.
It is a hard time to get a job no matter where you are graduating from right now, but maybe by the time you are graduating things will have improved
:-)
