Freshman Seminars

What seminars are y'all taking?

As of now, I am taking History 39J on World War I. Maybe I'll sign up for a one unit one when my Telebears II appt. comes up on Wednesday.

What other ones have everyone signed up for?

Hey, geminihop~

I was planning on signing up for that, too, for a while now..! I hope there's still space, but I do have a question- is there actual performance involved, or is it just the playwriting and reading?

cool, ttgiang, there are still 4 spaces left, I hope you get in! When is your Phase II appt?

From what I have read on the Freshman Seminar Website I would think there is at least one performance involved, but I dunno. I had been hoping to get this seminar, it sounds really unique, you know?

After reading this again it seems we will be performing a monologue.

It does sound unique! Yeah, I read it over before and I was hoping "developing a monologue" would be limited to, well, developing a monologue. I have my appointment tomorrow morning and I'm probably going to reconsider. I'm terrible with staged performances!!!!!!! (<-- Note: there are seven exclamation points) I've tried, well not really, but I just don't have it in me. But it sounds really fun and I hope you enjoy it..

awww, come on now, it would be for 15 people tops!! Then again, it only says "developing a monologue" like you said, maybe you can "cast" someone to read it!

I think this is one of the only frosh seminars still open (trust me I checked). oops, forgot Scandinavian 24 and German 24 (which I think is actually supposed to be kinda interesting and no performing necessary!)

thanks, I hope I enjoy it too (I'm really just a history nut that loves anything from the 1950's-'60's, and I'm kinda taking the seminar on a whim!)

Here's a list and description of all the Freshman Seminars offered this Semester:

http://fss.berkeley.edu/freshman.lasso

Very few of the 24 series are open, but many of the History 39 seminars have 1-4 spots. Have fun with Phase II registration
