| General Conversation Anyone? The Berkeley boards have been buzzing with activity (and some hostility), but I don't think I've really gotten to know anyone who is actually attending Cal next year (or even thinking about it). I don't even know what kind of music everyone likes! Its quite dissapointing. I say we start bonding by just posting random information about ourselves.
My name is Naomi. I love the Aeneid and Latin (JCL! Yay!). I listen to all sorts of music from Architecture in Helsinki to Philip Glass. My favorite movie is Pi. I have no fear of hippies and thats probably why I'm suited for Cal.
And who are you? |

| I'm Mark, from Sacramento. I am also kind of a hippie (but only kind of). I have big curly hair, I too love Latin (classics is one of my majors, woot!), and I love indie rock, indie pop, latin pop, classical, and the avant-garde. My favorite movies are Amelie, Hamlet (Ethan Hawke), Pride & Prejudice, and The Princess Bride. I'm a vegetarian and I like cooking, reading & writing poetry, fuzzy old records, aging professors with no hair and huge glasses, long hugs, even longer walks, and the view from the Campanile.
AIM chat anyone? My sn = goshthatiscrap
Also, there's a livejournal community for us: http://community.livejournal.com/berkeley_2010
There's probably a myspace group too but I cancelled my account months ago EDIT: Point proven, I just found it on the board.

| My name is Sarah. I am not 100% on Cal, but I am pretty sure I will be there next year. I love soccer, running, and dance. I'm into all kinds of music, but I am mostly into the John Mayer type thing. I'm a sucker for romantic comedies, more specifically Love Actually. |

| The name is Nakul, from da Bay Area and a true liberal (with an open mind however) and therefore fully excited. I listen to all music EXCEPT country, gospel (or anything religious) and most classic. I love reading, sleeping, eating, movies, video games, and sports (cricket, football, soccer, basketball, tennis, etc. I hate baseball and golf however). I'm a non-vegitarian (though my parents think I'm a carnivore), and I'm in EECS. |

| Really Nakul, no classical? That's really interesting. Not even music from movie soundtracks? Most everyone seems to hate country though. Its kind of funny.
Just to rouse conversation: What is your opinion on Ayn Rand?
I personally love her work. As a person, Ayn Rand is rubbish, but I love her books. |

| Hi i'm raymond. One day i'm going to be the first person in the entire world to discover a living dragon. I also hope that i can clone super cows that can talk and give me my milk when i want it. People think i'm werid but i just think of myself as unique. I'm also a spring admit for MCB which im praying that i can somehow switch into engineering because it's my true passion. At senior ball instead of dancing i stared at the sealing of the sacramento galleria and wondered what force it took to hold those 3 giant loops up that high. I HOPE I FIT IN! |

| LMAO at the cows.
Naomi, I said most classical because I despise English classical music. I listen to classical Indian ones though (but not much). Mostly go for hip-hop though. Oddly enough I hated music 4 years ago. |

| Haha. Thats fine Nakul. I was just curious.
Cows. I had a grand fear of cows in the 6th grade. I thought they would smother me with their weight. I'm vegan now. I don't know Raymond, I might have to protest since your plans involve animal experimentation. |
