MATH 1A or 16A?

Hi, so I hear math 1B at berkeley is a ridiculously hard weeder course, and I was wondering if math 1A has the same sort of difficulty. I'm not especially confident in math (scraped a B in AP calculus AB and got a 4 on the AP exam) and I'm thinking of applying to the Haas undergraduate program, so would it be better to take math 16A instead of 1A? Thanks.

I'm taking math 1b right now with Olsson. It's not ridiculously hard. It's pretty doable.
