i got stern hall, what do i do?!

hi, as my options i didn't put stern at all, i actually put all the units but somehow i ended up in stern! is there anyway i can switch even if i make up some excuse?! this really sucks.

you can make a formal request to be transfered to the units. your excuse should be solid, like ,say, you can't afford to live in stern hall and would rather live in the units. you should act fast because I'm sure there are a lot of people who are not pleased with their assignments, including me.

Also, the reason why you got stern hall is because you probably checked the box that said something like "if none of my choices is available I will accept any offer." So, there you have it.

I'm in the same situation as well, but had to accept the housing offer because or else i might end up dormless. :-/

but i'm really social and so not quiet. my main concern is being surrounded by people who dont want to make friends.

there're so many clubs and organizations at Cal that not having a social scene in your dorms is actually not so bad. You can always find an activity to join and have fun.

For me, Unit3 is the total oposite. It IS the niche of the social scene at Cal Dorms. It has a strong reputation for its events and crazy, outgoing atmosphere. Can't wait to get there!
