| LA, SD, Davis, and Stanford. I was wavering on Harvey Mudd and Cornell, but I passed since I literally had 4 days to do 4 essays. ;-) |

| InTheEnd-- don't let your SAT scores get you down. they are fine. little known fact about berkeley: not everyone had a 2400 (or 1600 for the 08/09 classes) on their SATS. a lot of people i know had lower scores than you, but showed they had other (and in my opinion, more important) strengths. if you were more interested in UCLA then i'd be more concerned for you, as they play a numbers game. berkeley actually at least looks at your extracurriculars and essays because they ACTUALLY want well-rounded kids in their classrooms. |

| hey
what type of scores does everyone have thats applying for Berkeley, besides SATs I mean? I'm from Australia so I'm not quite sure what exams you guys take and whats considered a good score. I've gotten AAAAB for my A-levels which I hope helps seal the deal with the essays and other stuff.
cheers mate |

| Berkeley is my number 1, here is my junk:
SATI: CR 720 Math 680 WRT 640 Total: 2040
SATII: MathII: 800 US History: 700
ACT: English: 30 Math: 33 Reading: 35 Science: 36 Total: 33
GPA: ~4.3
AP Euro - 3
AP US - 4
AP Calc AB - 5
AP Calc BC - 5
ELC - high school rank 1 / 400
AP Scholar
National Honors Society
Organized local Christmas baskets
Sierra Community College classes
CS10 - Intro to computers
CS12 - Java programming
CS66 - C++ programming
CS46 - C programming
Math 32 - Calc III Multivariable calculus
My school kind of sucks, I have taken every AP class available and have gotten straight A's. They did not offer AP Chemistry or Physics so I am worried that will hurt me for engineering. I applied UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, and Stanford. I have 4 years running varsity track, being captain for 2 years. Over the summer I had an internship with Linden Lab working on Second Life doing software development. I have an extensive background in independent study of computer science and electrical engineering. My employer even stated that I already had the knowledge of a computer science major, too bad UCs do not take letters of rec. |

| Nice. I go to Del Oro. Yeah we don't have AP physics which sucks because sciences are my best subjects, I had taken regular physics by sophomore year. |

| I applied to bioengineering
UC GPA: 4.333
Weighted GPA: 4.750
Unweighted: 4.000
Most Difficult Classes possible were taken. (7 APs by the end of Junior year, 10 by the end of Senior year)
SAT:
800w/780m/760r (2340)
SATII:
800 Math Level 2
780 US History
760 Chemistry
My Extracurriculars are strong, Officer in 4 clubs. I don’t feel like typing everything else out.
I'm pretty confident that if I hadn't applied to bioengineering, I'd get in. But bioengineering... not sure I've got my fingers crossed. |
