So, I'm in the process of applying for housing. On the profile tab there is a large text box that says "Cal Housing is open to all genders. Please use this text box to self-identify." does that mean they just want you to put what gender you are? but why would the text box be so big? and it already has a tab for gender directly above that. can you guys help me out as to what information they would like?
Berkeley is known as being a very accepting city and this reflects onto the campus. Some students haven't quite figured out their gender identity and I'm pretty sure they're the ones who would use the whole box. If you know what gender you identify with and you can summarize it in one word (i.e. female or male) go for it.
