Berkeley UG Scholarship

Hey guys,

Got accepted to berkeley and have decided to go. My friends have gotten the Berkeley UG Scholarship, but i have not. I was wondering if anybody knew what this award was. UCLA gave out an award like this and it said that it was given because everything was turned in on time. You think the UCLA award and the Berkeley award are the same?

I think it is based on your financial need.

Yeah, I think its on financial need. Because, I'm a Spring admit, and i heard that spring admits are the boderline of being accepted, but I got the UG scholarship, maybe because my income was around $15,000/year.

The "undergraduate scholarship" is a combination of merit and financial need. Entering students must have a 4.1 GPA or more and maintain a 3.5 GPA to have the scholarship continue. The amount is based on the students unmet need. Students with financial need who do not meet those criteria are given an "undergraduate grant."
